Quick Details
You’ll start your day right here at Gunnamatta’s Stables where you’ll meet the Gunnamatta team, and your fellow riders. Our team of experienced instructors will pick out the right horse for you.
Setting off from the stables, you’ll meander through the winding bushland trails, experiencing the local nature as very few can. With no short supply of wildlife and botany – your ride may feel more like a safari of the Mornington Peninsula!
As you approach the beach you’ll traverse the high sand dunes, and catch your first glimpse of St Andrew’s Beach, heading onto the golden sands you’ll hear the crashing waves, and may even spot a surfer or two in the distance!
Once you’ve had your fill of the golden sands, and worked up an appetite! You’ll make your way back to the stables where our guides will take your steeds and give them a much-deserved feed before they head out on another ride, or out to the fields for some rest and relaxation.
Then head on over to the beautiful St Andrews Beach Brewery, where the stables, that were once home to some incredible racing pedigree have been converted into sitting areas. Relax in the former boxes of Melbourne & Caulfield Cup-winning horses whilst enjoying freshly brewed characterful beers, something to eat, and even better conversations.
As your day is winding down, what better way to finish it off than a relaxing dip in the natural mineral waters of Peninsula Hot Springs? With over twenty globally-inspired bathing experiences and a full spa, there’s no more relaxing way to end your action-packed day of luxury & excitement.
St Andrews Beach Brewery takes reservations for groups of 6 or more, groups less than 6 are welcome to find a table in the beer garden or dining area.
Please ensure all riders are wearing long pants and fully enclosed shoes acceptable for riding a horse. Any rider arriving in unsuitable shoes will be provided with an option from our small selection – however, all sizes are not guaranteed.
Gunnamatta Trail Rides advises you to bring a jacket with you in case of rain, as rides will continue regardless of the weather – except in extreme storm conditions where you will be contacted to reschedule the booking.
