The funniest thing that ever happened to me:

After delivering a small 30ft yacht from Melbourne to Sydney via the east coast which was an achievement in its self given the size of the boat. While at Darling Harbour as part of my initiation process I was sent to the top of the 50ft mast to make sure we would be able to get under the bridge given the level of the tide. This was OK but from this hight the boat looked like the size of a match box. We did clear the bridge but only by a few inches. Once we were passed the bridge the crew decided it would be a great idea to move from one side of the narrow yacht to the other making the top of the mast swing through 30 degrees either side while I was still up there. If it were not for the harness I probably would have been flung into the Harbour!! Eventually they lowered me down to the deck with much laughter.
